THE CENTRE FOR INDIAN SCHOLARS

The Centre for Indian Scholars is a native educational and religious institution designed to develop native reflection and scholarship by North American First Nations peoples about their aboriginal, religious, cultural and social heritage.

The Centre has joined with the Native Ministries Consortium, the Wilp Wilxo'oskwhl Nisga'a and the Vancouver School of Theology to develop joint programs fostering First Nations religion and spirituality. These institutions have negotiated a memorandum of understanding and call themselves YUU-HADAAX. They have co-sponsored with the Indigenous Theological Training Institute a symposium called God is Still Red.
